Wonderful skate, lots of it and very white! All the food here is well cooked and delicious! Nice views from one side, too. Very warm and welcoming.
Quite quiet tonight with a bit of guitar music which was very pleasant. Food was lovely. Setvice great. Birthday evening enjoyed!
Great that they have vegan items on the main menu! But very small portions! For some reason vegan meals are always much smaller than other meat-based mains which actually makes no sense if you think about it. However, the staff were great and brought out extra portions with no further charge when we mentioned it so very good service.
Great, lively pub right on the front at Leigh-on-sea. Can get very busy (we went on New Year's Day), but the pub staff are superb at dealing with a busy bar and serving meals. The bar was about 7-8 deep, but I got served quickly by one of the friendly and efficient bar staff. The pub was seriously busy, but after finding a table under cover outside, we ordered food which arrived after only 10 mins..... amazing.....and it was delicious and hot! Well worth a visit, and on a sunny day, lovely to sit outside and enjoy the views....and the live music was also great!!
Really nice pub, right on the seafront. It was too cold to sit outside when I went, but I'd imagine it's lovely to eat sat out there, and there is a load of seating. Inside is nice, if a little cramped (it's a big place, but there are a lot of tables) and the food was really good. There's a focus on seafood and it's done very well indeed. Another plus was the easy access to high chairs and the waiting staff were really helpful throughout. Would recommend to families with young children as there's also a decent kids menu on offer.
