Sad. Beyond a bad experience. Christmas shopping turned sour. Made a purchase that unfortunately was a duplicate gift. Less than ten minutes later I tried to make a simple return.I unfortunately received the poorest customer service I ever had and simply greeted with no refunds, its policy with meaningless expression. The no refunds sign was not even visible from the till I was served at and told it was on my receipt. Obviously too late by then. I received a flimsy credit note. Not happy to lose 50 my Mother returned to overhear the owner telling a another customer that it was closing down. THIS WOMEN WITHHELD MONEY KNOWING FULL WELL THE SHOP IS BEING SOLD. I stand by the original comment that despite trying to support local businesses, I will shop online where its fair. This place is disappointing. No refunds. No goodwill. No stars here.
Love the tea room, vegan and healthy choices. It is a peaceful place to browse a little and stop for a tea break.
Best place for scones in the area, lovely warm with a cup of coffee.
Beat It Cancer Exercise Rehab Hired the Book Inn to hold our 5th year Anniversary afternoon Tea Party.It was an absolute delight and such an easy process from start to finish!The owners and staff went out their way to make it such a special time.The afternoon tea was quite simply delicious and so beautifully presented as was the shop. We would highly recommend this wonderful place to everybody.
