Great experience. Nice atmosphere
A very pleasant station with good intergrated connections with bus and walking routes plus a secure cycle compound provided by Greater AngliaJust 10 minutes away is Southend Central station and The Royals Shopping Centre. Right next to this station is The Beecroft Art Gallery and The Southend Central Museum and PlanetariumAll I can I say is that this station is very pleasant and I have enjoyed my journey from here
It definitely has the run down feel of Southend to it. There's not enough ticket barriers here at all and the kids regularly push through the barriers instead of paying for their tickets. Disgusting. At least the station has step free access to the platforms and toilets too. Trains are usually every 20 minutes towards London.
The train staff were amazing after I had a shocker- the cold guy in the pink trousers who got given the two coats from lost property would like to send a thank you - if you were the guy that got me the two coats please get in touch and send me your address. Absolute life safer.
