How department stores used to be in your grandparents time.Top quality goods in a store that is just stunning.Worth taking your kids to see before it disappears.That comment IS NOT suggesting that Havens is about to close down, just to emphasise that no other shops (to my knowledge) exist like Havens these days, so it's an endangered species if you will.
Ordered China for my mother for Christmas. Havens was the only place I could find more than one piece as her pattern has been discontinued. They were incredibly prompt in answering my questions, product took about a week to ship (which they emailed me to let me know), but once it was shipped it was here in 2 days (Canada). The customer service was wonderful, pricing was great, shipping was reasonable, and I didn't get hidden charges when I received my package, which often happens when I order from overseas.Highly recommend if you're shopping internationally
It is definitely worth a visit simply for the art deco architecture exterior and wood fittings interior. It sells mainly crockery, cutlery and glassware of the higher end of the market. The shop is closing down at the beginning of January next year (2018), so much of the stock is at a fairly discounted price. The staff of this family of many generations company are extremely helpful and pleasant, and in no way imposing. Such as shame this place is not going to be around much longer.
