Terrible, avoid at all costs, I was taken very ill whilst traveling in Central America. I had a severe kidney infection that was possibly life threatening, the hospital called Explorer Travel to see if they could get the go ahead with treatment and they declined. I had to be treated otherwise my life could be at risk, then at the end of my treatment I had to foot the bill for the hundreds of dollars it cost. I am disgusted by the service.
We used them for a holiday last year due to the option of insuring existing medical conditions. I was taken unwell and sent from our hotel to the hospital in an ambulance. The hospital contacted Explorer and after giving them the okay to deal direct, I knew nothing more. All was handled between the hospital and insurance company. I couldnt have asked for more as was certainly in no position to try and juggle claims etc. Between Explorer & the hospital they made a tough time that little bit easier and I really do appreciate that!
BAD BAD BAD! SCAMMERS I sent my excess fee of 75 for my $30 bill and my paperwork in November and now they are claiming theyve didnt receive my bill and the hospital sent them a further invoice. So what started out as a $30 bill could be a hell of a lot more. In the middle of a dispute so wish me luck!
AVOID AVOID AVOID! This company will scam you out of your money. They pass the buck onto different companies once they taken your money and do nothing to help when you've put in a claim. Dreadful company, dreadful customer service.
AVOID. Appalling company, even though I bought cruise insurance and have paperwork to prove they are refusing to pay out. Relying on customers not being bothered to fight for a relatively small amount. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE?
