Bad services and very rude from Joanne. Makes want to NOT set foot back there. This is a real disappointment to the Broadway.
Absolute disgraceful staff and very rude.Wanted to drop a parcel in but had my little dog with me and even though it says no dogs allowed I thought just picking him up as no-one was even queuing I knew I wouldn't be long.No..this thing that works behind her counter pointed her finger at me and said NO dogs allowed and it does say on the door. I explained that she had no customers and I just wanted to drop this parcel in..30 seconds I would have been thats all..A kind lady who was in the post office helped me though and dealt with my parcel with this Jobsworth bint..It's no wonder the Post Office is dying off with these sort of idiots working for them..
They could not have been more helpful and friendly.
Never a smile, always a sigh. Often chatting while you are waiting. Never a helpful explanation. When asking about the contents of your package it isn't enough to refer you to the prohibited items list a full contents breakdown in required. Mostly I prefer to use Myhermes or the post office at Waitrose. I have tried my most disarmingly polite demeanor with no effect. They obviously have protected jobs. It is sad because obviously I am not the only person who braces themselves before entering. Thorpe Bay is a lovely little village atmosphere. Visiting the post office could be the nicest part of the day.
Never have I ever considered leaving a review for a post office...My repeated dissatisfactory experiences at the Thorpe Bay branch however have left no doubt that I absolutely must. The staff at this branch are rude, unnecessarily opinionated and unhelpful. They treat their position as PO clerks much like a group of high school bullies with an elavated opinion of themselves protected by the glass that separates them from the customer while they speak amongst themselves rather that to you.Apologising for a wait - no matter how long or even if you were the only customer in the branch waiting - is apparently above them.Without even a forced smile but rather an exhaled breath and shunt in their chair toward the counter, you are signalled as to their readiness to tolerate your existence for as brief a time as possible. You get the distinct impression that you should feel privileged to have finally been summoned to the fore. Although the location of this branch is most convenient I will be taking my postage needs elsewhere travelling further and paying a parking fee in an effort to avoid revisiting.
