Beach is nice, but it is a pebbles beach. It was very quiet when we went just some families. Was very disappointed that there was no traditional chip shop on or near the beach.
Nice clean station with friendly staff. C2C are one of if not the best rail company in the UK. They have more than their fair share of awards and the service is spot on, their punctuality record is generally around 90% and higher for being within 5 minutes of their timetable. The smart card delay repay system is really beneficial for my partner traveling every day and you can count on C2C to offer great service. Pam in the ticket office is lovely and has been there for years smiling away. +++++
It was small for a terminal station but I like the facilities, staff are helpful and ticket buying facilities made easier to use I am telling you when you arrive at Shoeburyness you will be happyI am also happy with c2c which made the station bike parking more bigger and wider for my BMXI am happy with the direct c2c trains to London Fenchurch Street via Basildon in an hour
Okay after the refurb, security present in evenings and generally a pleasant experience.
