First room was letting in water. So we were moved. We were expecting the best food possible here but we're very disappointed. Medium rare fillet steak was raw, more like rare! We ordered scallops and got oysters! When we complained the staff were nonchalant about it. Would not recommend this hotel
I would highly recommend this hotel. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We booked originally for one night but on seeing the rooms, restaurant and how the staff treated us we booked another night We had a wonderful meal in their restaurant and also had a Birthday meal for my son the next afternoon. Would highly recommend eating here as the food and service was 5 star. We have rebooked for another nights stay and booked another table for 5 in a couple of weeks time. Can not wait.
Had the game tasting menu with matched wines. The whole experience was very good. Lovely food and some excellent wines. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Can't find any faults.
I love this place. I went with my daughter for what I thought would be a once in a lifetime treat, but I definitely plan to return. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The bed was great and we both slept really well. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but a special mention has to go to Jonathan. What a wonderful man he is. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a joy to be around. Breakfast was amazing. My daughter had the lobster omelette, which she keeps raving about, and I had the English breakfast which had the best bacon I have ever tasted. The hotel is luxurious and the views are stunning. We can't wait to return.
Excellent lunch in this well appointed hotel. Window seat with lovely view of the sea on a sunny day. Service was perfect, attentive without being in your face. All staff very knowledgeable about the provenance of the food. All staff very welcoming.Set lunch at a good price point 3 courses for 25 and all 3 courses were very good. Liver Parfait followed by Venison followed by Cheesecake, all far better in the flesh than my bland explanation make them sound.Good wine list again at a good price point.Well worth a stay or a visit.
